This term describes a leaf spring style where one end of the spring has the “traditional” eye and the other end comprises the open leaf or leaves of the spring forming a “tail” which slides in a “keeper” or “hanger” which is welded to the chassis of the trailer. This style of spring is very simple and long wearing, and is available in both black paint and Dacromet Coated finish. Slipper springs can be joined on a multi axle trailer with the tail of the front spring sliding over the eye of the rear spring.
The 9-leaf spring, with a load capacity of 800 kg and polymer coating, is an ideal solution for single-axle leaf spring trailers with a total weight of up to 1800 kg or tandem axle trailers with a weight of up to 3500 kg. Made from 6 mm alloy steel, this spring is designed with the specific conditions of domestic roads in mind, and the "hook-tail" principle allows for quick and easy installation without the need for service specialists.
